TRAINING & TUTORING IN NUCLEAR SAFETY

VIDEO

Enjoy a video of the three years of the project

The European Union is committed to promoting and implementing the highest standards of nuclear safety, radiation protection, emergency preparedness, and regulatory framework worldwide. Recognising that safe utilization of nuclear energy requires competent, independent, and adequately financed National Nuclear Regulatory Authorities, the European Commission has established the European Instrument for International Nuclear Safety Cooperation and its Training & Tutoring Initiative and Programme.

The T&T Programme, implemented since January 2012, transfers knowledge, expertise, and best practices to non-EU countries. Phase V of the T&T project has been launched in January 2022 and lasts for three years.

Employees of the NRAs and the TSOs in the Beneficiary Countries have been eligible for participation in training and tutoring programs financially supported by the EU.

The international consortium led by the HUN-REN Centre for Energy Research successfully prepared, organised and delivered the training courses and on the job trainings.
